2024 Summer Intern
Required Prerequisites: Must have flexible days/hours. Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to pass both a background check and drug screen.
American Eagle Foundation (AEF) is seeking driven, passionate, and conservation-minded university students or recent graduates to join our team for the upcoming summer months! The AEF internship program is a unique, hands-on learning experience. As an intern at AEF, you will have the opportunity to work with our non-releasable avian ambassadors, working alongside staff to provide them with the highest quality husbandry, training, and education opportunities. Interns will have the opportunity to assist staff in providing educational programs.
Primary Focus/Location:
Husbandry of Birds of Prey, Preparation and distribution of enrichment items, Proper handling of some species of raptors, Basic raptor training, Educational public interaction.
Applications are open from December 15, 2023 to January 21, 2024.
We will begin conducting interviews for our summer program in February.

Avian Care Specialist / Headquarters

Desired Job Prerequisites: We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality, prior bird handling experience is a plus, and prior public speaking / education for large to small audiences.
Primary Focus/Location: Raptor husbandry, education, and public interaction at AEF Headquarters.
